How to Prepare for a Test
There are several methods you can use to help you study for a test:

******** These will only work if you have read the text assigned********

1) Look at the questions found at the end of a reading selection. Do the questions. If you can't find the answer to a question, ask about that question in class or during study hall. If you can answer these questions, you should be on your way to getting a good test score.

2) Take notes in class and review them AT HOME. If you are reviewing and something doesn't make sense, ask a question.

3) Take notes on the reading material at home. Be sure to mark what you do not understand.

4) Make up a Practice test" a couple of days before the test. Coerce a friend into doing the same. Either take your own test, or take a friends test. If you can't score well on your own test, you probably aren't ready for mine.

5) Find a study partner and read aloud and share notes. Take notes on your meeting and place these notes in your test review packet turned in on test days. It is much easier to find a point or two when it is evident that you are really working outside of class to get your grades up

6) Look at the summary sites that you learned about in the Library Oreintation. Take notes off these sites. Turn those in on test day

7) Talk to me about what you think is happening. Take notes of our conversation. It is amazing how much you will keep in the front of your brain if you talk and write about it at the same time.
