My name is Susan Strasinger, and it is my sincere pleasure to be your teacher for the 2008-2009 school year. I look forward to getting to know you and your family. It is my privilege to be your teacher.

A Short Biography

I am a native Nashvillian who graduated from Hillwood High School. I have lived in several cities including, Chicago and Los Angeles. I graduated from Belmont University with two degrees - a BA in Philosophy and a BA in Literature. I am currently working on my masters degree.

I have been teaching for fourteen years and have been at John Overton Bobcat for nine. Before I came to the profession of teaching, I had successful careers in the arts as a professional dancer and in music. I found that I enjoyed the high school age group very much and left these careers to become a teacher.

It is my sincere goal to prepare you for life after high school, whether it be college or work. We will study a variety of literature, utilize our writing skills, and become proficient at classroom discussion. Every student is important to me and it is my promise to help each student to the best of my abilities.
